Héritiers de la Justice launched a popularization campaign of the Forest Code in the Province of South Kivu

Héritiers de la Justice, with the support of The Rain Forest Foundation U.K., launched, this Monday May 17, 2004, the popularization campaign of the Forest Code in the province of South-Kivu. Delegates from about fifty human rights and development organisations as well as the Head of the Environnment Division took place in his ceremony, that was held at “Cercle Sportif” of Bukavu.

Mr. Pascal Kabungu Kibembi, Executive Secretary of Héritiers de la Justice introduced themotivation for the campaign followed by Roger Muchuba who explained to the participants the contents of the new Forest Code by stigmatizing its strong features in comparison to the old Code. This ceremony was enclosed by a press conference and distribution of the new Forest Code to participants.
