Electoral conflicts with divisionist fund
The students of ISTM/ BUKAVU dislodged because of
contesting their spokesman election.
The students of
the higher technical-medical Institution ( ISTM )of Bukavu were
obliged with no exception to leave their boarding house on Wednesday
26th 2005 since 16p.m by the policemen because of
contesting the results of their Spokesman election, organized on 25th
January 2005.By the end of the vote , the student Rachidi Okela,2nd
year undergraduate in public health won whereas his comrade Ntacho
Cito ,1st year graduate in health lost elections.
According to the
information recollected from field, some students might have
contested the results because the happier – winner is not theirs. As
things were getting worse, in the sense of opposing both sides (big
and small families ) which each had already had its relatives, the
police had taken part.
To avoid the
worst, the only solution was to drive every body away from
dormitories up until good situation of harmony would be found.
During that time,
to put themselves under cover of bad weathers in this rainy season
and gangsterism at night, the students coming out of Bukavu town and
having no relatives went to the Mayor’s for assistance: board and
lodging.
The asbl Heritiers
de la Justice regretfully notices that, students future
intellectuals of the country, be unable to accept the result from
election, even though the country makes its hope in them for this
year 2005; pluralist elections to different levels to make end to
transition which lasted much.
Héritiers de la
Justice reminds
itself that the climate of peace, unity and cohesion of harmony
always characterized students’ areas of South-Kivu until late ago.
It questions
itself whether that divisionist virus born in the Southern-kivu
student is spontaneous or it is the result of manipulation got from
outside by fishermen in troubled water.
The association
reminds the different parts as well as to provincial and academic
authorities for a happy and urgent outcome with the result that
courses not be lost in quarrels which have nothing to do with
studies and that the situation may not reach an uncontrolled
confusion.
