On wednesday 30/11/2005 three suspects involved in the killing of Pascal Kabungulu were interrogated
in front of the military court in Bukavu . Among
themwe can cite
caporal Liaka, Mafolo Patrick,sergent Issa Balimwacha and
captain Gaston Sangba.The latter
is
the office
in charge of the intelligence
department in Bukavu.
All of them
are charged of murder, gun robbery and
conspiracy with criminals.
At the beginning, the public ministry,
on behalf on the victim's part,
re-told
the fact as happened on 30/07/2005 and
31/07/2005 the day Pascal was killed.
"The two main roads on
both sides of the
victim’s family home were controlled by both
lieutenant Basco Labama and captain Gaston Sangba to prevent
any help from Pascal Kabungulu’s neighbours. It is then that
they sent three other armed soldiers to enter the house and
killed him and took from his home a computer, a pair of shoes
and 15 dollars".He said.
"Sub–lieutenant Ngaboyeka Jérémie,
neighbour of Pascal Kabungulu , he too shot three times in air
while one of Pascal Kabungulu’s sons of Pascal attempted to
cry for help by running after the murderers . Frightened, he
was obliged to turn back".He
continued.
So far the accused deny all the charges
despite of contradictions in their saying.

la justice
The trial on the
killing Pascal Kabungulu Kibembi on its second day in Bukavu /
DR Congo
In front of the hall of the building
of
provincial
assembly has continued today the trial on the
killing
of the former Executive Secretary of Héritiers de la Justice,
late Pascal Kibembi, occured
in July 2005. Thousands of people were attending the
trial which is on its second day.
The president of the court, after having
called for the role of the accused and witnesses, has granted
permission to different defenders to reveal what they noticed
to be exceptions and / or gaps in the matter process, and
discussed them. Among the
gaps,
the vice governor of south Kivu
Didace Kaningini and colonels Thierry Ilunga and Rama were not
invited and yet
they have been
cited in the case. This debate lasted
two hours.
This second day’s trial was interrupted
because of the rain just when one of the accused, Caporal
Liaka Mafolo Patrick, was about to be interrogated. It was
then postponed on Wednesday 30/11/2005.
