Up until when will insecurity go in Bukavu and its surroundings

Mr. Serge Mugisho Bashomga 22 years old, son of Bashonga Francois and a student in the third year undergraduate in Durable environment and development at ISDR/Bukavu has been shot and killed on 11/02/2005 at night between Thursday and Friday by 20 past mid night at Muhungu ISGEA, Ibanda commune in Bukavu by armed men in military uniform and not identified. The victim had gone to assist the neighbouring family that of Byango Mwilo (agent at Bralima Bukavu) which was attacked by those evils doers.

Urgently taken to the referential Hospital of Bukavu by his relatives, the victim died of his wounds. The corpse has been taken back home by 7 a.m by a procession of MONUC.

By 9 a.m the vice Governor Mr. Didace Kaningini and the 10^th Military Region the General Mbudja Mabe had reached the place to get further information about the situation and ordered investigations to be done.

The first investigations’ results led by Colonel Simba Useni happened to show two names among the murders that had run away. It is about Mr. Aime and Mr. Mufolo all soldiers of the 10^th military region. <<We know their respective unities >>, said the investigators.

Héritiers de la Justice is strongly preoccupied by the civils murder committed by the FARDC soldiers supposed to work with the population to protect and secure the national borders.

The association asks to civilian as well as to military authorities to punish severely the crime- doers in accordance with the law strictness.
