FROM BUKAVU : Second day following news of the death of Kabila
In the second day following the news of the death of Kabila not much has changed in Bukavu. This morning, people went to work as usual. Schools, universities, public offices, privates businesses and public markets were all opened and running as usual.
However, some of ours rural sources say that the mood is quite different in villages. Indeed, many people living in rural areas believed Kabila could have liberated them from the occupation. But no incident or public protest is reported in any rural area of South-Kivu. On the political scene still no declaration relating to the Kinshasa's incident.
In relation to our release of January 16, which reported on persistent rumours that are linking the movement of troops in the Ruzizi valley with the political movement known as the Forces Republicaines Federalistes, Heritiers de la Justice has just received a confirmation that this political party (FRF) has nothing to with the so-called movement of troops.
